CONTENT4ALL wins NAB Technology Innovation Award
The research project Content4All has won the prestigious NAB Technology Innovation Award! This project is funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme.
About Content4All
Content4All wants to autonomize the interpretation of sign language with the help of new technologies and AI. It’s a consortium consisting of these partners: VRT, Fincons Group, Humar Factors Consult, The University of Surrey, The Fraunhofer HHI-research center and Swiss TXT

The Content4All team developed a workflow that is integrated in a real life broadcasting scenario. In this workflow a sign interpreter is recreated as a virtual human in a realistic looking virtual world. The real sign interpreter can do the interpreting in a remote studio that controls the virtual one that is generated by the broadcaster.
About NAB
NAB Show is a yearly trade fair organized by the American National Association of Broadcasters. In 2017 NAB had 103,000 participants from over 160 countries with more than 1,700 exhibitors. In 2020 the NAB Show was cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak. On May 13 and 14 a part of the line-up was used in an online in a show called NAB Show Express.
