EHBT ('First aid in case of Doubt') develops interventions to erase doubt about disinformation and make journalists and citizens more resilient. Validated by academic user research, the innovation project provides journalists with a tool to detect topics and online hotspots on disinformation. By using a self-assistant tool (Checkbox), journalists can research disinformation in an efficient way, while using innovative short and long formats to publish fact-checks effectively on social media and online. VRT is co-developing these interventions together with different partners and provides a citizen-friendly version of Checkbox, allowing citizens to conduct their own research in case of uncertainty.

This project has received funding from the Flemish government, as part of the digital transformation programme for the Flemish media sector.

The public results can be discovered in more detail here (in Dutch).
