Belgian series 1985 soon to be seen in 8 other countries
At the MIPTV television fair in Cannes, the Belgian series 1985 was sold to as many as eight different countries. 1985 will soon be shown on SBS Australia, CANAL+ France, Free TV Israel, Filmin Portugal and Spain, TG4 in Ireland and CANAL+ Czech Republic & Slovakia.
The eight-part series by Wouter Bouvijn and Willem Wallyn tells the story of the most notorious unsolved case in Belgium: the Brabant killers. The story is fictional, but based on true events in Belgian history. The project is an authentic co-production between the two public broadcasters VRT and RTBF. It is distributed internationally by STUDIOCANAL.
