Tik Tak to be watched worldwide, from Mexico to Great Britain

VRT's iconic children's programme Tik Tak is a success worldwide. From Australia to South Africa, toddlers and pre-schoolers grow up with the programme and enjoy the ticking clock, the toddlers in action, the animal mosaic, the dancer, the book and all other features and characters. It is also the first time that a VRT production and VRT children's programme will also be shown on the BBC.

Tik Tak is a mixed-media production of 104 5-minute non-verbal episodes, done in live action, stop-frame, silhouette and motion-capture animation. The children's programme was given a new look in 2019 and quickly scored not only in Belgium, but also internationally. It is broadcast in the following countries:

The original Tik Tak series was developed by Mil Lenssens and first broadcast on TV in 1981. Tik Tak scored internationally even then and was screened worldwide. Since then, the series with its iconic sheep has been part of the collective memory. Toddlers are fascinated by colour, movement, rhythm, music and interactivity.

In 2020, Tik Tak won the second prize at the Prix Jeunesse (category: up to 6 years, non-fiction).

Tik Tak is distributed internationally by Serious Kids.
