Trabelsi

This gripping documentary tells the unbelievable true story of Nizar Trabelsi — a former professional footballer who became an Al-Qaeda operative. Shortly after 9/11, he was arrested for plotting a terrorist attack on a NATO airbase in Belgium and the U.S. embassy in Paris.

Today, he is serving a life sentence in the United States. Featuring powerful interviews from Belgian, German, American, Tunisian, and possibly French witnesses, the film explores radicalization, international justice, and the complex balance between security and human rights.

Originally produced as a three-part series for Belgian broadcaster, this documentary has strong international potential as a standalone 75–90-minute film.
