STIP IT is an annual, mobilizing initiative to raise children’s awareness and inspire them not to bully others.

The 4 dots are a powerful anti-bullying symbol. Each dot has a meaning and is linked to a commitment. They remind children and adults about how to deal with bullying. The 4 commitments are as follows:

  1. I think bullying is not right, and I will never do it
  2. I will speak up if bullying makes me scared or sad
  3. I will not exclude anyone; to me, everyone belongs
  4. I will always try to stand up for anyone who is being bullied

But the Dutch word for dot, “stip,” also took on a mobilizing meaning. Together, the 4 letters represent a clear commitment: STIP = Samen Tegen Iemand Pesten (standing together against bullying).
