Rehabilitation After March 22
22 March 2016, a date that needs no further explanation in Belgium. We all have seen the horrible images several times. In the one-off Rehabilitation After 22 March we show what happened after the horror.
Walter (47), a manager, was on his way to visit his daughter in Tel Aviv. Laurens (22) was heading to Sweden to see his girlfriend, who is studying there. Margaux (33), a Polish mother of a 6-year-old son, was commuting to work by metro, as she did every day. All three were severely injured. For them, 2016 became a year of rehabilitation—spending weeks to months in the hospital, learning to walk with a prosthesis, coping with burns and facial scars. We hear their stories of resilience, of falling and rising again, driven by perseverance and the will to live.
