The doors of the garden center Home Grown are open. In this series, Silke (Anouck Luyten) and Klaas (Francisco Schuster), along with their father Frank (Ben Segers), run the local garden center in Rektem.

It’s a true family business, but the sudden departure of their mother, Ingrid, has left a hole in both the family and the company. The family works hard to keep the business going with love, though they often have differing opinions on how best to manage it.

The Versmissen family shares their joys and struggles with their employees, whom they see as family members. Nothing – not an angry customer, a difficult environmental officer, or a stubborn aphid – can break their bond. That is, until Frank discovers that a new, modern super garden center is opening nearby. From that moment on, he has only one goal: to save Groeien & Bloeien from going under. How? With as many ideas as possible – which he believes to be brilliantly innovative, but his family often finds far-fetched or even dangerous.

The garden center needs to grow to keep thriving, and the whole "family" has to join the fight: including accountant Annemie (Goele Derick), Silke’s fiancé Sven (Andrew Van Ostade), and Clio (Maïmouna Badjie), the new employee responsible for putting the business on the online map. Meanwhile, it’s unclear whether Barbara (Ini Massez), a zoning officer and Frank’s ex, is their enemy or their ally. Since Ingrid’s departure, Barbara has been appearing at the store unusually often.

Home Grown is a heartwarming family series full of humor, set in a familiar environment that everyone knows and visits. No matter who you are, at some point you'll find yourself stepping into the garden center where you can literally buy anything – from pet food to scented candles, garden furniture to candy, pool accessories to Christmas decorations, from kitsch to stylish.
