When Nora and Viggo (both 27 years old) become parents for the first time, the much-anticipated "baby bliss" doesn't quite materialize. The birth of their first child, Baby, brings many struggles and unexpected challenges.
The new parents find themselves confronted with not only their own expectations but also those of friends, in-laws, and the rest of their surroundings. In a world full of perfect examples and endless well-intentioned advice, Nora and Viggo try to find their own path while staying true to their personal vision of parenthood.
